It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Maria Mandl (Molnar) on February 28th, 2023 at the age of 88. She was born Hungary in 1934 and lived most of her adult life in Canada.
Angela was the beloved mother to Cynthia (Todd), and Peter (Bernadette). Loving grandmother to Haley, Zachary, Emilia and James. She was a loving wife to the late George Mandl (1988) for 27 years, predeceased by her sister Elizabeth and her mother, Anna, and father Joszef.
Angela grew up in Hungary, met her husband George there, and then immigrated to Canada in 1956. Angela and George were married in 1961 in Windsor, Ontario and later settled in Guelph. She worked at Imperial Tobacco until her retirement. She passed peacefully at Hospice Wellington in Guelph.
Angela was a devoted servant of Christ and devout Roman Catholic.
She will be fondly remembered by her many friends.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph. Visitation will take place on Wednesday March 8th, 2023 from 5:00-8:00pm, including prayers and rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday March 9th, 2023 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice St, Guelph. Livestream will be available for the Mass. Burial and reception to follow.
