Giuseppina (Mammoliti) Marchesano left this world peacefully on Tuesday, April 2nd at St Joseph’s Health Centre at the age of 91. She is now reunited in heaven with her husband Giorgio. She was a caring and devoted mother to Nat (late Sam), Lucia (Domenic), Maria, Lina and Rita and proud Nonna to Daniela, Andrea, Cassandra and Juliana. Daughter of the late Domenico and Immaculata and beloved sister of the late Michele (Rosa), the late Vincenzo (Rita) and Antonio (Catarina).
Giuseppina was born on June 2nd, 1932 in San Giorgio Morgeto, Calabria and immigrated to Toronto with her husband in 1958 to join their families. She was an adored Aunt to many nieces and nephews who will remember her for her warm hospitality and of course her chocolate sprinkle cookies. She will be dearly missed by her relatives in Australia and Italy.
The importance of her faith is clear as she was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church for over 50 years and Peppina always had a Rosary on her. She was a talented cook, baker and seamstress.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph (519-821-5077). Family invite friends to a visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice Street, Guelph. Entombment to follow at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Catholic Cemetery, 5400 Hwy 6 North, Guelph. In lieu of flowers, Giuseppina would prefer donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or St. Joseph’s Health Centre (Guelph).
