Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 with his family by his side.

Ken Marcon, in his 72nd year, was the loving father of Brad and his wife Carrie-Lynn. He was the proud grandfather (Pops) of Sophie and Sawyer.  Ken was the dear brother of Jim Pearson (Wendy).  Uncle to nieces and a nephew.  Predeceased by his parents Flo (Ferrari) and Mario Marcon, his sister Maureen Marcon and his stepfather Don Pearson.

Ken was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on July 4th, 1950. The first son to Mario and Flo Marcon. Ken had many aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. During his early years while growing up which gave him a great sense on family. Ken discovered his love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved his yearly moose hunts and fishing trips to the north. Ken was a proud graduate from the University of Guelph. He was employed with Bell Canada. 

Due to a medical reason, Ken was no longer able to work due to his epilepsy. Thankfully, Ken was able to continue with his volunteer work at St. Joseph's Hospital in Guelph for twenty plus years.  In his free time, Ken spent a number of years involved with Parents without Partners Association and Boomers Social Club.  Ken was always generous, whether it be with his time or donations, and he supported a number of organizations.

Visitation will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 10:30 am. Masks will be required. Burial will take place in Thunder Bay at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Epilepsy Canada would be appreciated by the family.
