It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Janos Maroti on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, with his family by his side, at Guelph General Hospital. Beloved husband of 45 years to Maria Maroti. Loving father to Csilla and her husband Roy Amoah. Cherished and loving “Tata” to granddaughters Jasmine and Tiana. Survived by brother Laszlo.
Janos will always be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, sincerity, sense of humour, and love for friends and family. He loved fishing, watching “futball” and was always happy to play with his grandchildren. Janos was always eager to assist in any way needed to fix or build many things. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Janos will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St., N., Guelph, where the family will receive guests on May 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Followed by a reception at Saint Joseph's Church from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
