It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janette Martin, age 81, after suffering complications due to COPD. Born to John and Esther Rennie, she married her childhood sweetheart, Colin Martin, with whom she shared a wonderful marriage of over 60 years.
This loving and devoted Mama Bear will be forever loved and missed by her son, Craig, who was fortunate to spend the last year of her life with her.
Janette will be dearly missed by her two surviving brothers, Bill and Iain Rennie.
She treasured her goddaughters Joanna Martin and Jackie Ansara.
She formed life-long friendships; people were drawn to her lively spirit. Her loving Clairtone Girls: Lindsay, Gail, Agnes and Carol remained close friends since the late 1960s. She cherished her friends and they cherished her.
You could put Janette in a room of strangers and within an hour she would know everyone's life story. Outspoken and gregarious, this was the extraordinary woman Janette Martin was. She will never be forgotten.
Paths that cross will cross again.
