Angie passed away peacefully after a fight with cancer at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021. Angela Maria Matthews, age 84 years, was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Matthews. She was the loving mother of Joan and her husband Kirby White of Sherwood Park, AB; Julia and her husband Rick Turchet of Regina, SK; Peter and his wife Karla of Cambridge; Gregory and his wife Sarah of Guelph; John and his wife Elyse of Burlington; and Jeffery of South Africa. Angela was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren.

She was the dear sister of the late Gina Sylvester and her husband Len; the late John Belletti and his late wife Pat; Diane Favero and her husband Larry; and Louis Belletti and his wife Mary. Angela was also the loving sister-in-law to the late Lou and his late wife Mary Margaret Matthews of London; the late Bill and his late wife Fran Matthews of Hamilton; and Marg Sullivan and her late husband Jack Sullivan of Guelph. Angela was an incredible wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She devoted her life to her family and still found time to excel at many passions over the years, whether it be curling and golf at the Guelph Country Club, painting, bridge, gardening, walking the entire Bruce Trail and biking with her many dear friends, to name just a few. She was a devout member of Holy Rosary Church, the Catholic Women’s League and she loved to sing. Above all else she cherished her family and friends, and her sense of adventure will always be remembered.
