MATTHEWS, Joyce Marie

Passed away at Caressant Care, Arthur, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the age of 96 years. Joyce was the beloved wife of the late William (2010). She was a war bride in 1945, practised as a Nurse and came to Canada in 1960 where they adopted 4 children; David (Shirley) Matthews, Julie Hogarth, Wayne (Jenny) Matthews and Lisa Vets. She was grandmother to Matthew (Mel), Julianne (Erik), Nathan (Sam), Donnalyn, Nichole (Curtis), Nicholas (Lauren) and Alyssa (Cole) and great grandmother to Ethan, Sophie, Sloan and Jace. Joyce was the dear sister of Claire Foster. She will be remembered for her many endeavours; including being the owner/operator of “Wicker & Things” in Elora, “Lighthouse Fish & Chips” and “Icy Delights” in Markdale. Joyce will be fondly remembered by many.
