We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and friend, Donna Grace May on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Guelph General Hospital at the age of 84 following complications from hip surgery.

Donna was devoted to her family, as we were to her. She will be deeply missed by her children Rob and Cathy May, Kathy and Steve D’Agostino, Bill and Melissa May. Donna was a fun and engaged grandmother who will be remembered with love and affection by her grandchildren Julie May (Andrew Gedney), Lisa May (Jamar Hurd), Jenny May (Peter McLean) and Cassandra D’Agostino (Brandon Glynn), Kait D’Agostino and Sam D’Agostino. She will always be a beloved Gigi (great grandmother) to McKenna and Kayleigh Gedney and Karter and Cali Hurd. Donna was exceptionally close to her Niece and Nephew, Susan Brown, Geoff Allport, Dan Brown and Jenn and Jessica Wallace.  She will be missed by her brother Ben Wallace and Renée Kierans, as well as sister-in-law and dear friend Pam Wallace.

Donna worked as a secretary for the Peel District School Board for decades and maintained lifelong friendships from her career. Her passion was always centered on family. She met our father when they were just 13! They married at 19 and were inseparable until his passing in 2012. It has required tremendous strength for her to carry on without him but she surrounded herself with her growing family and met life challenges with grace and resilience.

We all have great memories of our mom singing to “hurting” country music and “frying bacon” with her beloved sister Marilyn. She loved to read and was comfortable with her own company but she especially loved to have fun and be with her family talking, laughing and singing around the dinner table.

Mom we love you. You touched the lives of many and we will be forever grateful to have known you and loved you. We imagine you reunited with Dad, Marilyn and Fred laughing and loving again.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Donna G. May in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
