Betty passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace in Fergus, ON. surrounded by family. She was the loving mother of Duncan (Cathy) and Gordon (Yvonne) of Fergus, ON. She was predeceased by her husband Duncan, her son Duncan, her daughter-in-law (Cathy Shaw), her grandson Andrew as well as her 4 sisters and brother. Betty's grandchildren Gordon (Becky) of Cranbrook B.C., Alison of Hamilton, ON, Robert and William of Fergus, ON and her 5 great grandchildren, all miss their wonderful Nan terribly.
Betty was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She worked hard to raise her boys and help her family and friends in many ways. Shortly after losing her husband in 1976, Betty emigrated to Canada to join her sons. Settling first in Toronto, ON, Betty worked for Social Services. When she retired, Betty relocated to Guelph, ON to enjoy an even more active roll enjoying her grandchildren. She very much enjoyed being a long time volunteer at the snack kiosk at the Guelph General Hospital. Over the years Betty enjoyed bowling, lawn bowling, bingo and monthly bus trips to the casino. She always looked forward to a fun day out with her friends.
Betty was a kind, loving, generous, positive woman with a great sense of humour. She brought joy to so many people along her life's journey.
Betty will be loved and missed for forever and a day💕
