It is with sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother, uncle and friend on August 15, 2022, at the age of 59.
The loving son of Joseph McCann (deceased) and C.Y. Bonnie Kemp (deceased). Brother to Colleen McCann (Hung Lee) of Vancouver, Gregory McCann (deceased), Kelly McCann (Jackie McCann) of Guelph and Melanie Kemp (Doug Higman) of Kincardine. Dear uncle to Jeremy Lee (deceased), Jasmine Lee (Marcos Cardenas-Zelaya) of Ottawa, Olivia, Brianna, and Madalyn McCann of Guelph.
Tim was born and raised in Guelph. Through his passion for physical fitness, he enjoyed football, arm wrestling, weightlifting and cycling. Tim worked at W.C. Wood Company Limited for over 25 years, where he enjoyed the physical work and kind friendships.
A frequent visitor to the Speedvale Plaza, Tim enjoyed talking to others and was friendly to passers-by, gaining him the nickname him “Santa”, of which he was proud. Tim loved being outdoors and sitting on his front lawn near Trinity United Church. He enjoyed greeting everyone with waves, smiles, and friendly conversation.
Despite having many complex health issues over the years, Tim always maintained a positive outlook, determined to be happy regardless of the situation.
The family wishes to thank all the community healthcare team members who helped him tremendously. Thank you as well to all the kind friends and neighbors who have helped Tim over the years.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 400 Stevenson St. N., Guelph on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11am. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
A tree will be planted in memory of Timothy P. McCann in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
