Peacefully at Wellington Hospice on Thursday, February 14th, 2019.
Heather (Buchanan) McColl at the age of 64. Loving wife of Ron McColl. Proud mother of Ian, Lauren (David Thomas) and Katie (Keegan Cooksley). Dear daughter of Joyce Buchanan of Acton and the late Bill. Loved sister of Barry (Barb), Jerry and Carol Buchanan (Luc Marier). Cherished Aunt of Tara, Clark, Taylor, Claire and Jasper.
Heather will be remembered for having lived life to the fullest. She was a real sportswoman in everything from baseball to pickleball, golf to canoeing, volleyball to just having down time at the trailer. A special lady in so many ways.
Cremation will be followed by a family service at Marymount Cemetery.
A Celebration of Heather’s Life will be held on Saturday March 9th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at The Arboretum, University of Guelph. Arrangements entrusted to GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (519-824-0031).
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Grand River Cancer Centre or Hospice Wellington.
