Brent passed away unexpectedly in his sleep in Guelph on April 17, 2022 in his 52nd year.
Brent was the loved son of Wayne and Iva, dear brother of Dan (Lesley) and Sarah (Dan) Herce, and the adored father of Kylie McDonell, his much-loved daughter. Kylie was clearly the most important part of Brent’s life. Brent also took great joy in his niece (Isla Rose Herce) and nephews (Luca and Owen Herce, Sebastian and Gavin McDonell), whether it was video games, street hockey, impromptu soccer or catch. His niece and nephew all though he was a neat uncle.
Brent was a proud graduate of Bishop Macdonell High School and maintained social media contact with many friends from those days and his sporting activities. In his youth, he was a gifted athlete, and he was a member of both soccer and hockey Guelph Rep teams. It seemed that Brent enjoyed and excelled at any sport he tried. More recently, he enjoyed and took great pride in the wood refinishing work he did with his friend.
Brent was a kind-hearted, non-judgmental and loyal friend, he had a goofy sense of humour, and he always enjoyed a party. He leaves a wide circle of friends. We will all miss him tremendously.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph one hour prior to service time (2-3 pm). A service to celebrate Brent’s life will start at 3 pm. We kindly ask that masks be worn during the service and visitation. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception centre.
