Peggy was an accomplished career woman having been a court reporter and administrator of the Provincial Court Family Division in Guelph. Peggy was a woman of strong faith and had a lifetime of volunteering in the work of the Basilica of Our Lady, the Catholic Women’s League and numerous charities supporting people less fortunate. All the while she was raising her four daughters and maintaining a household — a trailblazer of what a woman could accomplish. She had many lifelong friends, some from her childhood and school days in Guelph. She was an accomplished baker —pies her specialty— and she was known to prepare many different pies to satisfy all the family favourites at holiday gatherings.

Peggy was the matriarch of our family — so loved, her brightest days were spent enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in all of us and we will strive to follow in her formidable footsteps.

Peggy’s family would like to acknowledge and thank her friends, caregivers, therapists, physicians and other healthcare providers, long time pharmacist and hairstylist who helped her on her long, beautiful journey. You made a huge impact on her life. We are forever grateful.

A visitation for Peggy will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph) A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate (28 Norfolk St, Guelph). Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations directed to the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, the Alzheimer Society or Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
