Of Guelph passed away at home on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the age of 71. Absent from the body present with his Lord and Saviour.
Beloved husband of Terry for almost 50 years. Much loved father of Kevin (Karen) of Edinburgh, Scotland and Dan (Melissa and family) of Nova Scotia. Cherished Grandfather of Fynn McLellan (Scotland). Dearly loved brother of his twin sister Darlene O'Halloran and his adopted brother Murray (Jackie) McLelland all of Guelph. He will be greatly missed by his sisters-and-brothers-in-law Colleen, Mike and Suki and Al. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Laurie Ann (Darrell) of BC and Shawn (Heather) of Guelph and Rory and Jared of Newmarket.
Darryl spent many years working with various plumbing wholesalers in Guelph. He had a keen sense of humour that he exercised daily.
He attended The Salvation Army Guelph and at Christmas time could be seen ringing the bells at the kettles in Zehrs Fergus. In his later years following a cruise to Hawaii he developed a passion for Hawaiian shirts and could be seen in the brightest of colours all year round.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at The Salvation Army, 1320 Gordon St., Guelph on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow. Proof of vaccination must be provided.
