Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the age of 80 years.
Loved father of Jessica (Liam) and Ashlee (Michael). Proud grandfather of Austin, Lakely, Alora and Hazel. Predeceased by his sister Daryl McMillan and his favourite four-legged friend, Roxy.
John was a teacher and softball coach. He had many passions, going on walks with his dog Roxy, watching sports, perfecting his golf swing, reading books and talking politics.
He was a very involved father and some of his favourite memories with his daughters were teaching them how to ride bikes, cheering them on at exciting swim meets and rep softball tournaments. Rollerblading together at the Toronto beaches, all the times they went ice skating at Broadlands or the Don Mills arena, and all the trips to the various libraries for story or movie time.
