METCALF, Gwen—

Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2017, after a very brief illness at the young age of 61. Beloved wife of Paul O’Neil for 27 years, residing in the beautiful village of Beeton, ON. Devoted daughter of the late Lloyd Metcalf and the late Eleanor Metcalf of Arkell, ON. Exceptional sister to John Metcalf of Orangeville, ON. Loving niece of Bernice Laurenceson (the late Ken), Cliff Fitzpatrick (the late Betty), Vivian Brousseau (the late Douglas), all of Guelph, ON, Marlene and Paul Herlihey of Ottawa, Iola and Frank McTaggart of Mississauga, ON, Carol Fitzpatrick of Toronto, ON, the late Jack & Lucy Smith of Puslinch, ON,the late Gerald & Minnie Fitzpatrick of Calgary, AB, as well as Doreen Metcalfe (the late Albert) of Guelph, ON and her five children. Gwen will be truly missed by all of her many Fitzpatrick cousins. She will also truly be missed by Paul’s sister Heather and her family.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where visitation will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in our Hart Chapel on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
