Miles Evan MM

We are beyond heartbroken and devastated to announce the passing of our wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Evan will be missed beyond measure by his mother Alison, father Kerry, sister Rhiannon Miller (Jeremy Miller), nephew baby Theo, and brother Quin, Sue and Bob in Wales, uncle Tony, all his cousins in Wales: Robert, Gareth, Rebecca, Emily, Heather and Pam, his second cousins Charlotte, Jessica and Bethan, and numerous friends.

Evan was a joyful, curious, bright, kind, shy, deeply thoughtful, and compassionate child. He loved his family and friends, inventing things, learning magic and playing outside for hours with his neighborhood friends.

He developed a love of reading very early that never left him, and left us in awe of what he knew.

He had his first band at age 14 with some of his friends. His passion, talent and creativity for the arts continued growing till his untimely passing. He loved getting together with other musicians and playing music and singing.  His eclectic taste in music was unusual for his age.

He loved the family vacations to Wales and said he felt at peace there, when he played guitar on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Evan excelled at his first year of University learning more about subjects he enjoyed and had a passion for.

His love for his family never waivered, he adored and cherished his new nephew Theo.

Evan tried hard the past 10 years to rise above his inner pain and where that led at times.

Those who knew him, saw the inner gentleness and lack of any guile or vanity. We cherished so many times together that left us smiling and feeling love.

He didn’t know how brilliant and special he was.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to CAMH or the Rosa Rattray Early Literacy Fund – Guelph Public Library would be greatly appreciated. Memorial service to be announced at a later date.
