Sadly, passed peacefully at her home on October 28th, 2021, surrounded by her family. Debbie fought a long battle with ovarian cancer with her tremendous courage and incredible determination. She did not allow this disease to destroy her outlook on the future. She kept her bright spirit and positive attitude towards life.
Beloved wife of almost 51 years to Paul. Devoted mother to Jeff and Karrie (Dave Hinshelwood). Cherished Gramma to Jaiden, Alexa and Reyanne. Loving daughter of Frances. Dear sister of Michelle (Larry Bohn), Vivienne (Dave Grant), Wendy (Paul Jones), Dave Lapointe, Stephanie Lapointe. Sadly missed by many nephews, nieces and furry family members. Admired “sister” to Kathy and Andre Vanheeswyk and brother-in-law Harvey Miller. Predeceased by her father Jean Lapointe, her sister Lee Ann and grandson Christian.
Debbie will be fondly remembered as a beautiful person who touched the lives of many people and animals of all kinds. She was a second Mom to several and a great listener for many more. Debbie could be found spending time with her horses, dogs, cats or ducks. She had a love for nature, the family garden and campfires. Many memories were created while travelling in the camper and beach days with her granddaughters. She loved to help anyone with assistance with improving their small or large pet’s behaviour. Debbie was a dedicated employee from 1979-2018 at Blount.
