Passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the age of 74 years. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Karen (nee Howie) for over 57 years. Proud father of Diane (Mathew Trahearn), Scott (Susan), Brian (Helen), Linda (Condren Berry), David (Terri-Lee) and Brenda (Jason). Devoted Grandpa of Ryan, Kristin, Adam, Alisia, Brandon, Kevin, Miranda, Kaitlin, Scott, Megan, Jessica, Terry, Brett, Rebecca and Alyssa. Great Grandpa of Teagan, Camryn, Hunter, Tyler, Alexa, Derek, Natalie, Ella, Addison, Cohen, Nathaniel, Shawn, Caleb, Madelaine and Benjamin. Dear brother of Marjorie Hofstetter the late Joan Garness (Ralph) and Doug’s late twin sister, Gloria Plume (Roy). Brother in law of Bob Howie (Eleanor), Marlene Howie (the late Ken), Gord England (the late Glenys), the late Gord Howie, Allan Howie (Vicki) and Paul Howie (Donna). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
