It’s with great sadness that we share Tom’s peaceful passing at Hospice Wellington on February 16 with his loving family at his side. Pre-deceased by his first love Toots and his son Tommy, he will be deeply missed by children Jim, John (Julie) and Sue (Sheldon); his grandchildren Amber (Marc), Kylea (Kyle), Haley (Kyle), Mike (Steph), Mandi (Jason) Megs (Andrew), Tyler (Britt) and great-grandchildren Myrah, Zöe, Emma, Brooke, Collin, Kyle, Peyton, Colton and Riley. Tom will also be fondly remembered by his many friends and family including Della, Barbie and Marina.
A Guelph native, Tom was extremely proud of his family, their local country roots and the strong friendships that were made and continue to last. Everyone who knew him knew of his kindhearted and gentle nature. He was always there to help or lend a hand when needed and was generous with his time. He was a carpenter, an avid gardener and an expert in small engine repairs - talents that he shared generously with everyone around him.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be planned for a future date. A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Hospice Wellington for their care and compassion in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated by the family.
