Passed away after battling Lymphoma for over 20 years, surrounded by family at Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of 48 years to Betty Miskie (nee McLeod). Loving father of Ryan (Renee) and Darcy (Claire Webb). Cherished Pop-Pop of Roland and Ruby. Survived by his siblings Dennis (Brenda), Merlin, and Debbie Mustard (Ross). Brother-in-law to Wayne and Lin McLeod, Cath and Gary Lund, Dave and Barb Smith, Rick and Lisa Lettau, and by his many nieces and nephews, relatives, and close friends Nick and Alice Finoro. Predeceased by his parents Mel and Blanche, and brother Larry (Karen) and his sister Shirley.
Al was a fiercely loyal family man, who was always quick with a joke. An avid sports fan, he gave back to his community through many years of coaching. He also enjoyed fishing, mountain biking, and leathercraft.
