It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charles Michael Edward Mitchell on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, age 44 years, surrounded by his family at home. Michael was the loving father of Charles (Brody) Mitchell. Cherished son of Judy Mitchell (nee Sorbara) and the late Charles Ross Mitchell. Dear brother of Donna (Larry) Steadman, James Mitchell and Carrie Mitchell. Michael is predeceased by his father Chuck. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, all of his friends, his extended family and especially by Brody’s mother Angela.
Mike will always be remembered for his love of the Boston Bruins, being a dedicated and devoted father, and for giving the best hugs.
The Mitchell Family would like to say a very special thank you to Angie LeRiche for the love and care that she provided to Michael towards the end of his life.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph (519-822-4731). A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home's Dublin Chapel on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Marymount Catholic Cemetery, 5400 Hwy 6 North, Guelph.
In honour of Michael, donations can be made to an Educational Trust Fund that has been started for his son Brody Mitchell. Donations can be made directly via e-transfer to [email protected] or in person (cash or cheque accepted) at the funeral home.
