Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, with his three daughters by his side. George was in his 85th year. He has gone to be with his cherished wife Margaret, the love of his life. George was the loving father of Susan (Rick) Woolner, Julia Monk (Emlyn) and Karen Monk. He was Grandpa and Papa to Jacob, Andrew, Julia and Kaitlyn. He will be missed dearly by his cat companions. Forever remembered by family and friends in England and Canada.
Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Sunday, November 1, 2020, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., by RSVP appointments on the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home website (252 Dublin St. N., Guelph). A private funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
