Peacefully passed away, just before her 81st birthday, at Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home in Fergus, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Albert Clarke (2006), and then later in life, by her husband Phil Morris (2019). Dearly loved mother of 7, she was predeceased by her daughter Fran (1987) and she is survived by Cher Clarke (Ed Klatt), Laurie Christie (Rob), Bill Clarke (Debbie), Pam Sayer (Neil), Tracey Aramini (Floriano) and Sean Clarke (Miranda) as well as her sister Joan Eadie (Tom). Also survived by Albert’s sister Barbara Scott (the late Clayton) and Phil’s brothers, sisters and extended family. Loved and missed by her 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Jack and Bessie Amos and her brother Glen Amos and his wife Susie.

Marjorie was born and raised at Dyer’s Bay, and later lived and worked as a caregiver and nurse in Wiarton, Fergus and finally in Guelph.

After a difficult few years, we find comfort in knowing that mom will again be able to dance, run, ride her bike and do yoga. The family wish to express their gratitude to the staff at Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home in Fergus for providing excellent care to both Marjorie and Phil. A special thank you to Ryen from Oak Glen for your kindness and compassion. More than once we witnessed you kneeling at her bedside holding her hand and comforting her when we “dropped in” via the available technology. You are truly an angel.

A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be announced at a later date when it is possible to get together and share memories. If desired, memorial donations can be made to Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home, 474 Charles Allan Way, Fergus, Ontario, N1M 0A1 or through the website at www.wellington.ca.
