Donnalene Mutrie (nee Yeager) passed away peacefully with her family by
her side on June 2, 2021 in her 92nd year at the Guelph General
Hospital. Loving mother of Bob Mutrie, Sharon Mutrie, Valerie Carnegie
(nee Mutrie) and mother-in-law of Don Carnegie, whom she loved as a son.
Cherished grandmother of Shawn Mutrie, Chris Carnegie, Patrick Carnegie
(Sarah) and Skyler Mutrie. Devoted great grandmother of William Carnegie
and Benjamin Carnegie. Predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Yeager
(Fanny), her sisters Olive Yeager and Loreen Hammond (Murray) and her
special friend, Peter Dawson.
Donnalene had fond memories of her childhood home on a farm near Simcoe.
She was active in real estate in Guelph for many years until her
retirement. She was a classy lady with a big heart and was loved by
everyone who knew her.
She cherished all the moments spent with her grandchildren and great
grandchildren and she loved them dearly.
Thank you to all the wonderful and caring doctors and nursing staff at
Guelph General Hospital 7 East for their compassionate treatment.
Special thank you to her GP, Dr Stemerdink for the remarkable care over
the past many years.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service at Oakwood
Cemetery in Simcoe will be held at a later date. Donations to Heart and
Stroke Foundation in her memory would be appreciate by the family.
