Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital Saturday, June 10th 2017, in her 88th year.
Beloved sister of Dorothy Hare (the late Jack). Dear aunt of Susan (the late Steve), John (Shelagh), Steve, Bruce and Craig (Charlene), and many great nieces and nephews, cousins June Doberthien, Jackie Blow and Diane Riddall.
A devout elder and deacon at Knox Presbyterian Church and a great Guelph Storm hockey fan. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and Murwood Steele of Acton.
As per Doreen’s wishes there will be no service, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of L. Doreen Nicklin in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
