Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital Saturday, June 10th 2017, in her 88th year.
Beloved sister of Dorothy Hare (the late Jack). Dear aunt of Susan (the late Steve), John (Shelagh), Steve, Bruce and Craig (Charlene), and many great nieces and nephews, cousins June Doberthien, Jackie Blow and Diane Riddall.
A devout elder and deacon at Knox Presbyterian Church and a great Guelph Storm hockey fan. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and Murwood Steele of Acton.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery, Acton. Memorial contributions to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
