Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Thursday, April 18th, 2024, in her 92nd year.  

Beloved wife of the late Ernie Norris (2005) and parents Max and Elsie Duvall McDonald.   Loved mother of Darryl A. Norris (Julie) of Kitchener, and Alanna N. Norris (Geoffrey Cutting) of Coquitlam, BC.  Very special nana of Cameron and Colin Norris of Kitchener. 

Jacquie was a Life Member of United Empire Loyalist Association, Past Provincial Treasurer and Life Member of the Ontario Genealogical Society, Co-founder and first Treasurer of the Waterloo-Wellington Branch of OGS, Founder of Wellington Branch OGS. Life member of Wellington County Historical Society, Guelph Historical Society, Guelph Museums and McCrae House.  She was a fifty-year member (2014) and Past Secretary of Ladies Auxiliary of Col John McCrae Memorial Branch, Royal Canadian Legion, Past President of Businesswomen Section of the Guelph Curling Club and past Envelope Secretary of Lay Delegate of The Church of St. David and St. Patrick.  

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for visitation at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Friday, April 26th, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at All Saints Lutheran Anglican Church, 210 Silvercreek Pkwy. N., Guelph on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at 11 am.  Reception to follow in the church hall.  Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph, will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to McCrae House, Building Fund of the Guelph Public Library of The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital. 

 

A tree will be planted in memory of Jacqueline L. Norris in the Wall-Custance
