With heavy hearts we are announcing the passing of Sandra (Sandy) Norton, on June 28 at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, after an extremely brief and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 62.

Survived by longtime partner, Russell Ellis. Beloved mother of Bill and Ken Norton of Guelph and stepsons Dereck & Mark Ellis of Guelph.

Daughter of Patricia G. King of Guelph and predeceased by her father William King (2004) and her daughter Crystal Norton-Boarder (2004).

Adored by her grandchildren Alex and Tiffany Boarder of Chesley, Aliyah, Ethan, Mia and Hannah Ellis, all of Guelph.

Missed dearly by her sister Joanne (Tony) Wallace of Calgary, Terry (Sherry) King of Mossley, Jeff (Marjorie) King of Cambridge and Laura (Tony) Wong of Guelph. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Up until Sandra's passing, she was an active employee of LPP Mfg (Linamar). Sandra was passionate about spending time with her family and always had time for her friends. She was extremely generous and kind hearted. She knew everyone's birthday as well as their anniversary, loved playing Bingo, and was also an avid Toronto Blue Jay, and Maple Leaf fan.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life Reception on July 8, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph. Tributes at 3 p.m.  As per Sandra's wishes, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stoke Foundation or to the Grand River Cancer Center.

A tree will be planted in memory of Sandra L. Norton in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
