April 23, 1964 - October 2, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chris O’Brien on October 2, 2022 surrounded by her family, after a brief but courageous battle.
Those who are lucky enough to have known Chris will agree she had the ability to brighten every place she ever went, and her infectious laugh will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband Dave, her children Ashleigh (Matt), Matthew (Cassie), and Kyle, all of Guelph; her parents Sharon (Ted) Cawthorn of Severn Bridge and Pete (Pat) Nemes of Welland; her siblings Kellie (Darryl) Sweitzer of Guelph, David (Joanie) Nemes of Guelph, Dan Nemes of Barrie; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Many thanks to the nurses of Bayshore, specifically Jessica, for helping make a difficult time easier.
There will be a celebration of life planned for a later date; announcement to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
