On Sunday, April 21st, 2024 Dan unexpectedly passed away at the age of 65 years. Dan, who was also known as Danny or D was a loving husband to Jennifer (nee Raegele) for 42 years. Devoted father to Sean (Keeley Cea), Heather Omar (Moose). Adoring Nonno to Noah, Isaac and Rose. Remembered by his brothers Tom O’Brien (Lenie-2019) Mike O’Brien (Sarah Watson) and nieces and nephew. Sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law & families. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Irma O’Brien.
Dan worked at the U of G for 31 years in Physical Resources. He retired in 2018. He was a car enthusiast, loved drag racing and working on many projects. He had a passion for music and had his own band in the 90’s called the Daniel J Band.
Cremation has taken place. Please join us on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 12:00-3:00 pm drop in at the Country Club Golf Course (133 Woodlawn Rd E, Guelph) for an Irish Wake. All are welcome, refreshments will be provided.
