Mrs. Lenie O’Brien passed away unexpectedly at the Guelph
General Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the age of 66. Amazing,
loving, supportive wife of Thomas O’Brien for an adventurous 34 years.
Best Mommy in the world ever to Danielle and Donny. Unconditional loving
step-mom to Jeffery. Over the top, never stopped loving, teaching,
sharing life experiences Oma to Sierra and Jesse. Always welcoming and
adored mother-in-law to Larry. A beloved sister to John, Helmie and
Annette. Many nieces, nephews, extended family on many sides and friends
of a lifetime will miss her greatly.

Together, Lenie, Tom and the grand-kids were the great walking travellers
of our wonderful city. From one end to the other, she touched people’s
lives everywhere. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but one day, people will
go “Hey, wonder what happened to that lady with the blond hair, colourful
coats and the two wood sticks?” Well she is now going to live on in all of
us!
So, if you’re reading this and you knew our mom at all....Go be ‘NICE’ to
someone for no reason other than to help brighten their day. Those
“Moments in Time” are what make our souls rich.

A private service was held at the Gilbert McIntyre and Son Funeral Home,
Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. She is resting peacefully with
her parents at Marymount Cemetery in Guelph. If you feel the urge to send
flowers or make a donation, you can pick someone or something in your life
that you feel passionate about and help them out.
