O’BRIEN, Wayne Harold David

Passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 70 years.  Wayne was the beloved husband and best friend of Glenda for many years; they would have been celebrating their 50th anniversary in December of this year.  He was the proud and loving father of Dianne Devlin (Jamie) and Tracy Wheeler (Shawn).  Cherished Papa of Heather, Andrea, Kayla, Justin and Leah and Great grandfather of eight.  Wayne was the dear brother of Lyle (Stephanie).  He is remembered by many nephews, friends and those that he met during his years as a Guelph Transit driver.  In the days of better health, Wayne enjoyed spending time at fishing holes, seeing what he could bring home for dinner.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031).
