Ruth Ann O’Drowsky January 31st 1942 - March 2nd 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother on Saturday March 2nd at the age of 82. Ruth passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Wellington Terrace long term care facility.
Ruth was the beloved mother to Darrin, Darryl and Kyle O’Drowsky. Mother in law to Carrie O’Drowsky. Cherished sister to Marlene (Steve) Truscott and predeceased by sister Donna (Bill) Pollard (2023). Beloved grandma to Alyssa, Brianna and Ciara, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a dear friend to Ignatius Saccary (2016).
Ruth was a compassionate soul who will be remembered for her dedicated work with special needs students who she adored. Her heart filled with joy whenever she was near the beach among the sailboats on the water. Ruth loved the summer heat and spending hours nurturing her garden to perfection. She loved shopping around for her granddaughters and keeping up with the latest trends. Ruth adored animals, especially her favourite cat “blacky” that she will be reunited with.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, personal support workers and all other staff at the Wellington Terrace long term care facility.
A celebration of life gathering for Ruth will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph)
