O'NEILL, Robert 'Bob'

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Robert (Bob) Michael O’Neill on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 64. Loved father of Michael, Brendan (Jess), and Malissa (Ryan) and grandfather of Amelia. Beloved brother of Cathy, John (Lori), Hugh (Lubelia), Larry, and brother-in-law of Susan. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Tom O'Neill, mother Therese O'Neill (Kenney), and father William O'Neill.

Bob was a very spiritual man. He enjoyed camping, watching UFC, laughing along to every Jim Carrey movie, listening to Simon & Garfunkel, and storm chasing. As an avid driver he loved to remind his children that if you ever get lost “you just need to keep turning right.” Bob was a founding member in creating the Ray Scapinello Road Hockey Tournament that brought together hundreds of kids and volunteers in his community for an amazing day of fun every year. Bob’s family, friends and community will feel a great loss.

A funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady Church, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11 a.m. The family will be accepting guests for visitation for an hour prior at the church, starting at 10 a.m. To attend the visitation and mass, please RSVP on the funeral home website, under Bob’s obituary.
