It is with great sadness we announce that Ralph Paevere passed away peacefully after a long struggle with COPD and pneumonia on January 14, 2022 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 93.
Predeceased by his loving wife Heli (2018). He is survived by his daughter Virgu-Susan (Parik, Peter), grandchildren Chris (Parik), Sabrina (McGregor, Jason) and Paul Parik. He was also great-grandfather to Dawson and Ava (McGregor) and Blake and Zoey (Parik). Ralph was born in Tallinn, Estonia on January 5, 1929, the son of the late Rudolf and Eda Pilmann. He married his soul-mate Heli in Sweden on May 29th, 1950 and immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1951.
The family would like to thank and acknowledge the caring support of the nurses, doctors and staff at Brampton Civic Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Shilpa Sethi (GP) and cardiologist Dr. T.J. who helped us navigate this journey.
Cremation will take place after which there will be a private family service for Ralph Paevere at St Peter’s Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Association or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
