Passed away with her loving family around her at St. Luke’s Place on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in her 89th year. Palmira was the loving wife of the late Angelo Pagnan (1995). She was the loving mother of Rita (Silvano Da Maren), George (late Pamela) Pagnan, Gloria (Richard Larente) and Angela (Jay Dunlop). Palmira was the loving nonna of Gloriann (Dan Carlesso), Yvonne (Jeff Atkinson), Michael (Pamela) Da Maren, Anne (Brad Duquette), Christina, Derek, Erica (Greg Batuszkin), Stephen, Marc, Sara and Rebecca and the loving bis-nonna of Antonio, Sabrina, Alessia, Vincenzo, Danika, Kaden, Tessa, Dominique, Joseph, Isabella, Stephan, Kayleigh, Jacquelyn (late Brianna), Storm, Adranna, Ashley and Phoenix. She will be missed by her brothers (in-law) and sisters (in-law) Giovanni (Anna) Cavarzan, Bruno Cavarzan, Norma (late Francesco) Cavarzan, Mario (Merta) Pagnan, Sister Richetta, Sister Virginia and Cesira Pagnan and also by nieces and nephews in Italy and Canada. Palmira was predeceased by her parents Angelo and Ernesta (nee Franchetto) Cavarzan and by sisters (in-law) and brothers (in-law). Palmira was a person who was devoted to her family. She loved her garden and flowers.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Palmira will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 4 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
