It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dad, Tony Pellegrini, on October 4th, 2022 at the age of 61.

Our devoted mother, Sheila, gracefully put up with his stubbornness for the entirety of their 42 ¾ years of marriage. Tony was many things, a mechanic, a small business owner, a rock star, and a drag race enthusiast. But by far his great accomplishments are his two beautiful daughters, Dina and Katelyn.

His grandbabies: Riley, Aidan, Aislynn, Keagan, Bronwyn and Easton were the lights of his life. He spoiled them completely rotten, including the time he surprised our poor mother by installing a pool in the back yard for them. His famous line was “don’t tell your mother”.

Dad was the middle of six children. He will be missed by his siblings, John, Anna, the late Mary, Frank, and Nico. He was a dedicated son and is now reunited with his loving parents; his father Domenico and his best friend and mother Maria Pellegrini.

Over the past few weeks, our family has heard countless stories from dad’s friends as well as from complete strangers about how our dad has impacted their lives. These stories of his huge heart and selflessness are the greatest gifts he could have left us.

We wish to thank all of the nurses and PSW’s who helped to care for our dad and for the support they gave our family. You made this difficult time easier for us.

Dad, we are so proud to be your daughters. We will take care of mom for you (and try not to give her too many more grey hairs). Rest easy.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 at 1:30pm. Reception to follow ceremony. Private family entombment to be held at a later date.

If desired, donations to Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated by the family.
