Passed away on December 20th, 2017, at the age of 67, in the loving presence of family, friends, and the compassionate staff at the Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph. He is predeceased by father Andre and survived by devoted wife Ann, son Gregory (Gillian), mother Lidia, sisters Susan (Mark) and Tamara, and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Harry practiced law in the Guelph area for over 20 years, working in family law, as Crown Attorney for the County of Wellington, and as a legal advisor for the Guelph Police Service until his retirement. He was known as a conscientious member of his community and a devout advocate for truth and civility. He pursued education to its fullest extent, studying at University of Western (BA), Windsor (LLB), Guelph (MA), and York (LLM). Being a man of principle, he relished friendly debate on all manner of topics, often playfully assuming the role of devil's advocate. Harry also appreciated the experience of world travel with his family, having lived in Zimbabwe and France as well as exploring many parts of Europe throughout his life. He enthusiastically engaged in physical sport, as a wrestler in his youth and later as an avid golfer and runner. His wry sense of humour, candid nature and kindness will endure in the thoughts of those who mourn his passing.

Friends and family will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Thursday, December 28th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Harry will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady, 20 Gordon St., Guelph at on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
