Perrior, P. Shirley
Passed away on December 31, 2022 in her 90th year at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Bernard (2012). Proud and devoted mother of Denise, Shelley (Todd Walter) and Malcolm (Marie Carriere). She was the cherished Grandma of Kristen, Daniel, Yvann, and Riley. She will be remembered for her love, caring, and mischievous sense of humour.
Shirley was also a devoted, passionate volunteer in the Guelph community, serving with Friends of the Museum, Guelph Historical Society, and the Guelph Spring Festival. She was a member of the Guelph Arts Council and through this, she conducted Guelph Walking Tours and assisted in Guelph Doors Open. Shirley was recognized for her volunteer work in 2013 when she received the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage award. In later years, she worked with Friends of the Guelph Public Library and their annual book sale. Throughout her life she maintained a zest for creating wonderful gardens, attending the theater, music, and traveling to new places.
Friends may call at GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph from 3 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 for a memorial visitation.
