December 2, 1936 - January 13, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Allan Perry on Saturday, January 13, 2024 in his 88th year at The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph. Beloved husband of Leslie, with whom he shared his life for over 40 years. Devoted father of Rob (Susan), George and Cindy (Paul) and step-father of Katie (Trevor) and David (Jennifer). Loving grandfather of Ryan (Justine) and Wils (Lindsay). Proud step-grandfather to Rae and great-grandfather to Lilah and Charles. Cherished brother of Barbara and predeceased by his siblings George (Jeanne) and Shirley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was born in Toronto’s Cabbagetown neighbourhood and raised by his parents Alice and Elden.
Bob will be remembered as someone who loved people and lived life to the fullest. His outgoing and charismatic personality drew people to him and his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. He loved a good practical joke and always wanted everyone around him to be having as much fun as he was.
Bob’s professional life was defined by his strong work ethic and motivational spirit. He was a natural born leader who had many interesting careers over his life, all of which he pursued with enthusiasm and optimism. Bob was a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan and an avid golfer. His spirit will live on in our hearts and on the greens and fairways.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Riverside Glen for everything they did for Bob.
