February 9, 1953 - March 29, 2022
It’s with great sadness that we announce Drew passed away suddenly on March 29. Born in Windom Minnesota to Dr. Lee and Sally Peterson, Drew will be deeply missed by his loving wife Jeen as well as his sister Kitty and brothers Greg and Brian.
Drew obtained a Ph.D in Physics from Iowa State university of Science and Technology in 1981, then followed that with a post-doctorate with the University of Toronto.
Drew met his future wife Jeen (nee Chicklosky) at a duplicate bridge club in Toronto. From then on, they were inseparable and then married in 1983. Drew came to love his new country and became a Canadian citizen in 1988.
Drew was a genuinely unpretentious man who was always willing to help others. Jeen has lost an irreplaceable piece of her life, but Drew will also be a piece of her heart. Shared memories will never be forgotten.
