It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of Gloria Anne Pilley on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario. She was 84 years old.

Gloria will be lovingly missed by her son Mark (Kim) of Vancouver, daughter Carol (John) of Guelph and her two very special granddaughters, Lily and Avery, who were her pride and joy. She is predeceased by her son, Bruce and her loving husband, Paul.

Gloria first met Paul at the “bug lab” in Sault Ste. Marie where they both worked and where their story began. They were married and after welcoming one child, moved to Lindsay, where they would welcome two more. They remained in Lindsay to raise their family, enjoy the company of many wonderful friends and neighbours and be part of the community.

When Paul passed away in 2006, Gloria remained in Lindsay surrounded by caring friends. Later in 2017, she made the move to Guelph to be closer to her granddaughters. She enjoyed their soccer games, dance recitals, school concerts and much more.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. Cremation has taken place. A visitation (5:30pm – 6:30pm) and Celebration of Gloria’s Life (6:30 pm) will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 2022. Guests are welcome to join the family for a reception in the Lounge following the Celebration of Life. Interment of ashes will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 1:45pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 233 Lindsay St S., Lindsay, Ontario. A small gathering will take place afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Blood Services or a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
