PRIOR, Judith Margaret (nee Kistner)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Margaret Prior (Kistner) on Monday, May 30, 2022.

Judy was such a pleasure to interact with and made friends everywhere she went. Born in Guelph on December 20, 1951, she grew up in the Exhibition Park area and had strong ties to the neighbourhood. She began to date Doug Prior in her early teens and they married on May 5, 1972. Judy worked with many Guelph companies throughout the years including the Homewood, Hammonds Manufacturing and Norfolk Pharmacy. In 2019, Judy retired and moved to her "happy place" in Southampton, where not surprisingly she continued to grow many strong friendships and enjoy a slower pace.

Survived by her only child, Jennifer Dunsmoor and her husband Dwight of Bracebridge, Ontario and 3 grandchildren that she adored, Mitch of Thunder Bay, Jocelyn of Guelph and Matt of Bracebridge. As well as her siblings, Robert Kistner (Phyllis) of Guelph, Nancy O'Drowsky (Peter) of Guelph and William Kistner (Melody) of Clifford. Predeceased by her parents Harvey and Mollie Kistner and husband Douglas Prior. Judy enjoyed the companionship and love in recent years of Glenn Smeltzer. Judy also has many nieces and nephews that adored her zest for life and unconditional love.

A private family service will take place at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. A celebration of life will follow on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Cutten Fields, 190 College Ave. E, Guelph from 1-4 p.m. We welcome all friends and family of our families to come and share memories and remember this incredible woman.
