Prosser Dominic MM

November 24, 1935 - January 22, 2022 after a long and valiant battle with Lewy Body dementia. Born in Isle aux Morts, Newfoundland. Predeceased by the love of his life, Angela (nee Page), his parents, Albert and Maggie (nee Lefrense) Prosser, his three brothers Willard, Montford, and Albert and his two sisters, Eileen and Sheila. Survived by his sister Lenora (nee Prosser) and Paul Seymour of Kingston, Ontario.

Loving and devoted father to Catherine (nee Prosser) and John Barranger of Innisfil and David and Sheri (nee Jones) Prosser of Guelph. Proud papa to Mack and Ashley and new Grandpa to Grace and Gloria.

He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Kent, England. Also missed by his sister-in-law Hilary and Barry Fisher and brother-in-law Andy and Jill Page of Kent, England.

Dominic joined the Church Army in his early twenties and then decided to take a ship to England to pursue a lifelong career in nursing where he met the love of his life, Angela, in nursing school. In 1970 they moved to Kingston, Ontario and then to Guelph, Ontario where he taught in the Nursing Diploma Program at Conestoga College, Kitchener, mentoring many nurses over a career that spanned over 30 years.

He was a longtime member of Kortright Presbyterian Church in Guelph where he remained friends of many until his passing.

Our thanks to the staff at LaPointe-Fisher Nursing Home for their care of dad. A special thanks to many of dad's friends at Kortright who have helped dad over the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Dominic Prosser in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
