Emilio passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Wellington in Guelph on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Emilio M. Raco in his 100th year, was the beloved husband of Annita (Maugeri) Raco for an amazing 66 and a half years. He was the loving father of Dominic and his wife Tina, Maria and her late husband Martin Lammers, Michael and his wife Debbie, Albert and his wife Carol, Lina and her husband Peter Pavlinich and Frank and his wife Andrea. Emilio was the proud Nonno of 21 grandchildren and of 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Dominic and Maria Teresa Raco, and his siblings, Annuziata (Nancy) Valeriote, Jerry , Joseph , Sister Teresa, Sister Maria Immaculata, Frank and his twin sister Tina. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Emilio was a lifelong fine carpenter, who began at Guelph Casket and retired after many years at the University of Guelph.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive their family and friends on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady 28 Norfolk St., Guelph on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. Interment in Marymount Cemetery Guelph. Due to Covid 19 concerns, the family has asked that only guests who have been fully vaccinated attend the visitation and funeral.
