It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard John Rafter, of Kitchener, at the age of 73.
Predeceased by his parents Kay and Mort Rafter. Brother to Tom (Joan) and Karen. He is survived by his two children, Jenny and Brian.
Richard was a hard worker and self-employed, subflooring specialist. He died suddenly of heart failure at a work site in Atwood on December 4. He was a horse racing enthusiast, an avid golfer, fisherman, hockey player, and a friend to many.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. A celebration honouring his memory will take place at Kennedy's, 1750 Erb's Rd St Agatha, ON on Saturday December 17 from 1-3 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Memory Garden Funeral Home 2723 Victoria St. N.
