Peacefully at home on Monday, June 19, 2023, Frank (Francesco) Giovanni Rebellati, age 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee May) Rebellati. Devoted son of the late Albina Pozzobon. Dear father of Anne (late Greg Carter), Linda (George Arksey), late Susan (John King) and Catherine (Howard Mitnick). Frank was the much loved Papa of Jacob, Emma, Spencer, Regan, Leo, Henry, Nina and great-grandfather of Lola. He was the dear brother of Meri (Terry Cardow) and Gianna.
Frank came to Canada in 1952 from Salvatronda to start a new life in Guelph. He met and married his sweetie pie in 1959 and his dedication to her was an inspiration. A skilled carpenter and long-term employee of Imperial Tobacco, "Friendly Frank" had a wide circle of friends and was a fixture in the Nottingham Street community. He was always happy to lend a helping hand and offer advice. Frank loved the cottage at Wasaga Beach, fishing with his buddies, gardening and above all else, his family. A big personality and a role model to many. Checo will be deeply missed.
Resting at Gilbert Macintyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, ON. Family invite friends to a visitation on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 10:30am at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph, ON. Entombment to follow at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Hwy 6 North, Guelph.
