REILLY, Douglas

Douglas (Doug) Reilly passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022 at the age of 79, surrounded by family. Doug will be lovingly missed by his wife of 40 years Frances (Baum), step children Christine (2000), Sarah (Bruce), Greg (Margaret) and Richard (Rylie). grandchildren: Paul, Ashley, Jasmine, Annie-Mae and Evan and great grandchildren Christine Raine and Jordan.

Son of Chester and Clara, Doug spent his life in Guelph with his brothers and sisters always nearby: Donald (Teresa), Betty Messner (Bruce), Helen Bruder (Chuck), Marilyn Cox (Ronald), Dave (Anne), Raymond, and predeceased by his brother Bob (Pat).

Doug was employed by Lewis Tool and Die for 39 years. He loved cooking and gardening and could oftentimes be seen touring Riverside Park and Walmart on his scooter. His infectious smile and sense of humour will be missed by all that knew him, especially his friends at Marilyn Drive.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the ICU staff at Guelph General Hospital and in particular Dr. Naeem and Dr. Shende. Your support and loving care of Doug is greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 9th at 11am at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph; reception to follow in the Hart Fellowship Lounge.
