It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Neil Francis Reinhart on January 4, 2021 at the age of 87, peacefully at his home with his beloved wife Marilyn (nee Shaver) at his side. Born and raised in Guelph, he was the only child of the late LeRoy and Laurene (Cove) Reinhart. After starting work in the family business, Reinhart's Beverages, at a very early age, he later joined London Life Insurance where he had a long and successful career. Like so many, Neil was a hard worker but his true passion was spending time with family and friends whether it was on the golf course, at the cottage or better yet, playing cards around the kitchen table. In cards, he was always the one who went for it, or as he would say, "shoot the puck up the ice", in many cases much to the chagrin of his euchre partner. Regardless, everyone knew the Reinhart door was always open.
Neil was very sociable, fun to be around and a true gentleman so it is not at all surprising that he was loved by so many for so long. Neil is survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Marilyn, his children Michael, Stephen and Elizabeth as well as many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren and is predeceased by his first wife Eleanor and son David.
Sincere thanks to Dr. Hood for his continuous care and support and whose house calls meant so much as well as the PSW team for their assistance in Neil's final weeks.
In his 87 plus years with us he did all he was meant to do, and so much more. We find solace knowing that, as was always the case here on earth, he still is, and will always be, surrounded by loved ones (no doubt around the card table). He will be truly missed and his memories treasured.
